Assignment Paper

Each student will be required to select and verbally present a recent article from Strategic Finance (recent 3 years). The presentation should last at least 3 minutes but should not be longer than 4 minutes. Full text of Strategic Finance articles can be accessed from the UVU Fulton Library website via the Business Source Premier database. The presentation should cover a summary of the article and how the article relates to managerial accounting. Each student should select an article and post the title and month/year published in Strategic Finance to the Discussion posting in Canvas at least a week in advance of their presentation to ensure that another student has not selected the same article. Articles will be presented as outlined in the course schedule (time permitting) – students with last names starting with A-G on February 5, last names starting with H-O on March 11, and last names starting with P-Z on April 15.

Grading will be based on 2 items: 1)presentation time length – should be between 3 and 4 minutes and 2) completeness – should include a summary of the article and how it related to cost/managerial accounting

To access an article from the UVU Fulton Library website:

1) Visit www.uvu.edu/library (Links to an external site.)

2) Click on Databases

3) Select the Business Source Premier Database

4) In the Periodical Title Box enter “Strategic Finance” and click on search

5) Click on Full Text Finder for any article

6) Continue following the Full Text Finder links until you reach the Gale General OneFile webpage

7) Click on the Strategic Finance link for any result

8) Select an article of your choosing during the last three years

9) Verify no one has selected your article in the Discussion Posting in Canvas
