Audience: A professional audience (CEO, COO and other managers and supervisors).
Purpose: To outline important facts and background about an issue so that the leaders of an organisation
can make an informed decision on how best to address it.
Situation: You are a member of a working party aimed at developing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
policies in a company. The CEO has asked you to submit your recommendations regarding how the company
can contribute to meeting a Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). You must make your recommendations in
the form of a business report in which you:
• identify and define a CSR policy that relates to the SDG you have decided the company should
target.
• Identify and explain 2-3 contributing factors/causes that have led to the development of the
SDG.
• identify and explain 2-3 consequences of meeting and/or failing to meet the SDG.
• state and evaluate 2-3 action-oriented, concise, realistic and feasible recommendations the
company can follow to meet the SDG.
• effectively integrate a data diagram and a corresponding data commentary
