Design a learning project/mini-unit plan that incorporates learning networks and/or social media in a personalized learning environment.

Unit Plan should include:
– Overview and rationale (1 paragraph)
– BC curricular connections and core competencies (Include 3 BC connections and core competencies)
– Scope and sequence of learning activities for 4 lessons (lesson plans provided separately)
– Teaching strategies that incorporate social networks
– Formative and summative assessment methods
– Resource list with sources cited
Criteria
The unit should be at least 10 pages (double spaced) with content suitable to grade level and align with stated
objectives.
Clear title, rationale, overview of cross-curricular competencies, big /essential questions of the unit. 5 marks
Clear learning intentions; sequence of learning experiences for 4 lessons (summary of teacher and students’
activities that will be explored in lesson plans) and evidence of students’ learning ( assessment using social
media tools are expected) 10 marks
2 detailed lesson plans taken from the unit plan (15 marks)
