Discussion QUestion

You are asked to select one item from the Bluth collection (which could be anything from a cel used in Dragon’s Lair, to a background from Anastasia, to a script of an unproduced Bluth project), and write a brief report (approx. 150-250 words – anything less than 150 words will not be accepted) with the following information:

– What is the item that you have chosen?
An American Tail / Colored cells
– What purpose did this artefact serve in the development or production of one of Don Bluth’s works?
– Why did you choose this specific item? What have you learned from it that could be applied to you own work? (Have you, for instance, learned something about an animation technique, or the importance of posing in key frames? Do you wish to emulate the level of detail in Bluth’s drawings?). The response does not necessarily need to be a positive one – you may find something that you would wish to avoid in your own work.
