Project Paper

Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to systematically and thoughtfully develop the proposal for the DNP project to be conducted in future practicum courses. This assignment includes all the section in the Week One, Two, Three and Four Guided Worksheets. A passing grade on the final proposal (due in Week 6) is required to pass NR702 and progress to NR705. This assignment is excluded from Turnitin.
Course Outcomes
This assignment enables the student to meet the following course outcomes:
CO 1: Synthesize scientific knowledge and practice expertise to support a change in practice-relevant evidence-based practice (POs 3, 4, 5).
CO 4: Uses project management processes to assess and plan the DNP Project (POs 4, 8).
CO 5: Design an evidence-based practice-change project to address a practice issue at the appropriate system’s level (POs 4, 5, 8).

Preparing the Assignment
Follow these guidelines when completing each component of the assignment. Contact your course faculty if you have questions.
1. The DNP Project Proposal (Worksheets 1-4) will be graded on quality of information, use of citations, use of Standard English grammar/scholarly writing, sentence structure, APA format and overall organization based on the required components as summarized in the directions and grading criteria/rubric.
2. To complete this assignment, you will need to review the grading rubric carefully and consider how to incorporate each required criterion into the proposal.
3. The following are best practices for preparing this paper:
4. Consult your edited Week 1-4 worksheets which have allowed you to develop content for your proposal in the course.
5. Use the APA template with required headings and descriptions of required content and copy and paste the edited content of the worksheets into the template.
6. Use the grading rubric below to guide the development of your proposal.
7. Create your proposal using the required Microsoft Word (a part of Microsoft Office) template. The DNP project Microsoft word template can be found in the Canvas class website under “Project and Practicum Resources” The nomenclature when saving the file should be Last name_First name_DNP Proposal Week Four Assignment.
8. Please review the DNP Project Template overview in week 4 of the course to guide your work.
