CQCCQ Purposeful Reading Reports The student will complete the CQCCQ (Concept, Quote, Comment, Connection, Question) Purposeful Reading Report for each textbook chapter read. -C- Concept What concepts were most important in this reading and why? Paraphrase knowledge, concepts, ideas, or issues that you walked away with from this reading. -Q- Quote Select a quote from the pages you have read that you feel is significant. Place the quote at the top of the post in the following format: “Rice has been cultivated in China for thousands of years.” Malcolm Gladwell from Outliers. p 225 -C- Comment Comment on the meaning and significance of quote. Explain why it is significant in the reading and explain why you chose it. Additionally, please comment on the social work content that is related to the quote and how it connects to the larger message or goal of the book. -C- Connection Discuss connections related to the quote. For example **How can you connect the quote with social work concepts or program development experiences in internship/etc? **Does the quote have any personal meaning to you? -Q- Questions What questions do you now have about the topic? What does this make you want to know or learn more about?
