Entrepreneurship

This assignment is divided into eight components, all connected to the same project.
Section 1:
Before embarking on the virtual sales platform for my Skype Online Life Coaching business, I must prepare my entrepreneurial background. Since creating and managing a website requires fusing my knowledge of entrepreneurship and my managerial and selling skills, I was asked to visit the following Society for Effectual Action website:

The task is to understand effectuation, causation, and the principles associated with effectuation. I will find this information while visiting the leading site of the Effectuation Society. Read thoroughly on the following topics:
• The Bird in Hand Principle
• Affordable Loss Principle
• Lemonade Principle
• The Crazy-Quilt Principle, and
• What is the effectual cycle?
Reading the above topics must assess how well I use the effectual principles in developing my ideas and running my business.
The question to be answered in at least 400 words: Are you following any of the above principles? How?
This answer will be placed on my website. The website should look like a website for an entrepreneur. Remember, I want visitors to my website to understand that I am an entrepreneur and not just another salesperson. I need to ensure that my product or service will get the limelight it deserves and will be presented in a way that highlights me as original, daring, practical, and local. The simplest way to achieve this is to make my website look creative, modern, collaborative, and inviting.

Section 2:
Research the internet to find a job description that resembles my present position, which is manager, within my Skype Online Life Coaching.
Monster.com has sample job descriptions that you may want to review first: https://hiring.monster.com/hr/hr-best-practices/recruiting-hiring-advice/job-descriptions.aspx
Look for positions that are most similar to mine–but do not forget that I am an Entrepreneur. Pay attention to how the jobs are described and do additional research.
The task is to find at least two examples and compile my job description, considering the functions and the necessary knowledge required in my present position.
• Briefly describe the knowledge one needs to have to do my job well.
• Follow up with a list of tasks that I do.
• Use active verbs.
• Be brief. Imagine that I am leaving for a couple of weeks and need to transfer my knowledge to my replacement. What would I need them to know? What would I need them to do in my absence? Do additional research as necessary.
The answer to this section must be at least 250 words.

Section 3:
finalize my job description. Ensure that it will have a list of tasks and state what knowledge is needed in my position.
Make sure that it has a minimum of 400 words.

Section 4:
Read about branding and market valuation. I will need branding knowledge to make my website stand out individually and as an original. I will need market valuation knowledge to make rough estimations to assess my own business and ensure that this assessment is visible on your website. I will also need to understand market valuation when considering other websites and choose the ones that appeal to my business sense. To understand branding, please read:
• Small Business Marketing: https://businessadvising.org/small-business-marketing-branding-basics/
• The Power of Branding: http://www.designcouncil.org.uk/news-opinion/power-branding
After reading this information, please provide the answer to the following questions before moving on to another section:
• What is my big idea—what lies at the heart of my company?
• Explain my values behind my service—what do I believe in?
• What is my vision—where am I going with my service? What is its purpose? What do I hope to achieve with it?
• My professional personality-how, do I want to be viewed vis-a-vis my service?
I am attaching the business plan I drafted earlier to help you address the above questions.
Make sure that it has a minimum of 750 words.

Section 5:
Next, read about market valuation: http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/66442
Please note that there are several business valuation approaches and methods, and there are three fundamental ways to measure the value of a business or professional practice:
• Asset approach
• Market approach
• Income approach.
The article covers a mixture of all these methods in a very approachable way. You need to have a sense of what my business might be worth, and I also need to be able to construct a rough assessment of similar businesses and their websites. To do my business valuation, I need to be able to become neutral about my business.
This is different from sections two and three when writing the job description. Now imagine that I am meeting a potential client interested in buying my business. This person asks me: “How much is my company worth?”
In 400 words or less, please address the following questions:
• What rough number could I or would I give?
• How would I arrive at this number?
• Is the number reflective of calculating my assets? Is it based on a market approach? Is it based on what income my business can generate or something else?
I am attaching a paper “going global” where I defined my firm as a franchise in the hopes of helping you get a better feel of my Skype Online Life Coaching business.

Section 6:
Research at least three websites or blogs presenting similar products or services. Use the knowledge from points 1-4.
Valuate and evaluate what you see to choose the best possible examples. Do not take the first three you see. Go deeper.
Make sure that it has a minimum of 250 words.

Section 7:
Decide on my platform. You may use any of the websites indicated below or find a different one that seems more suitable and effective for your particular taste, beliefs, and product.
There are many free websites to choose from. The purpose here is to help you create website content without spending any money. You might want a quick search to find something you can use — either a free blog or a free website that looks appealing to you. You will have ready content that might help you in your future entrepreneurial endeavors.
Please visit:
• Top 10 free web hosting sites: http://www.prchecker.info/web-hosting/top-10-free-web-hosting-sites/
Make sure that it has a minimum of 250 words.

Section 8:
Now we have all the tools to create an efficient and effective website.
This is the primary assignment where I will build a website, a blog, or a wiki (your choice) featuring my product or service.
This assignment needs to be submitted in an essay paper with an abstract.
In creating my website or blog, please observe the following steps and guidelines:
According to Michael Hyatt in Platform Get Noticed in a Noisy World A Step-by-Step Guide for Anyone with Something to Say or Sell (Thomas Nelson, 2012, pages 83-84), a successful blog outline includes the following five components:
1. Lead paragraph
2. Relevant image
3. Personal experience
4. Main body
5. Discussion question
Since I will be required to use this formula as a framework for developing my website or blog, please familiarize yourself with what each point entails (details underneath). Please note that my final product will be marked based on how well I translate these points into the chosen shell of your website or blog, or wiki.
Below is the detailed list of the five components you will need to include in your website.
1. Lead paragraph.
This is equivalent to a headline. This is where you will indicate your product combined with the most relevant couple of words with one purpose: catch the reader’s attention while disambiguating your product from the rest. You will need to extend your research to places where this is done well-as described in the Reading section of this module. Then you will need to come up with your own original lead paragraph. This paragraph will disclose your branding.
2. Relevant image
You can either insert your original picture or describe it. This part should be longer than part 1 and provide enough details to allow anyone to understand your product or service. Remember: a picture tells a thousand words, but if you have problems getting or inserting a good image, just describe it using your own original idea and your own words.
3. Personal experience
This is where you introduce self as an entrepreneur. Your job description submitted in week 5 will provide you a good base—just make it shorter. You also need to add a testimonial—a description from someone else using the product or service you are advertising. In real life, this part would include at least three and often more personal experiences with the product-called testimonials. In order to make your website effective and get a good mark from this assignment, you need to include a minimum of one testimonial. Make this testimonial reflect your product or service’s authentic and original value. Avoid general statements like an excellent product, and great service, as they do not disclose the necessary details that could make your readers into your potential clients.
4. Main body
This will include your product information. Provide an extended product version, including technical specifications, details, and available formats or versions. A minimum of 100 words is required in this part.
You could start with a catchy line that states what your product is all about versus its utility and continue to situate the product in the reality and field it is in.
You also need to include your coordinates so that interested clients would be able to contact you. Your valuation skills will be visible here.
5. Discussion question
Just inviting potential clients does not seem to be enough to attract clients and create a sales buzz. Posing a discussion question to engage my readers is a potent way to spread the news about my product or service and elicit genuine interest. Use this knowledge, and this time go a little further and pose a question that will interest my readers and get many responses.
If you still have questions on how an excellent entrepreneurial website should look, please visit http://michaelhyatt.com/platform
The paper must be at least 850 words with an outline that includes the following five components:
1. Lead paragraph
2. Relevant image
3. Personal experience
4. Main body
5. Discussion question

Section 9:
Advertisement. Based on your research, all materials covered in this course, as well as entrepreneurial skills that are gained, please share an original entrepreneurship definition and post an advertisement inviting other joint venture partners.
In the ad, explain my renewed business, and introduce my new partner’s idea (as described above-use your imagination). Provide factual details pertaining to my joint business. Invite others to join.
Remember, you are to put an ad together with your new partner looking for more partners and clearly showing in your ad that you have the business knowledge and a minimum of two excellent products in your proposed joint venture (your previously developed one and a newly developed now). This is a moment to make your knowledge shine. Include a description of how this JV would benefit consumers.
Make sure that your ad is factual and encouraging in order to attract further interest.
Make sure that it has a minimum of 500 words.
Here is a short overview of the assignment’s word requirements for each component:
Section 1: 400 words
Section 2: 250 words
Section 3: 400 words
Section 4: 750 words
Section 5: 400 words
Section 6: 250 words
Section 7: 250 words
Section 7: 250 words
Section 8: 850 words
