Assessment Description

You will need to visualize the sequence and scope of the planned emergency response before writing this section. The CONOPS section of the EOP is a written or graphic statement that explains, in broad terms, the decision maker’s or leader’s intent with regard to an operation.

Write a CONOPS section (500-750 words) that describes how the responding organization will accomplish the best results in an emergency. In the CONOPS section, include the following:

1. Detail the main goals and objectives and related methodologies necessary to execute this portion of the EOP.

2. Brief discussion of the activation levels identified by the jurisdiction for its operations center. This can be done in a table format.

3. Address direction and control, alert and warning, and continuity matters that will likely need to be explained more thoroughly in functional/hazard annexes.
