the study aims to assess the groundwater potential in terms of quantity and quality in a basement complex
terrain.
the study include the use of satellite data to generate (digital elevation model and Landsat imagery) to
generate slope, topographic wetness index, lineaments/lineaments density, land use/land cover, drainage
density, geomorphology), conventional data to generate soil and lithology and geophysical data to
generate overburden thickness and aquifer resistivity and using multi-criteria decision analytical
hierarchical process to delineate potential zones for water. It also examines the suitable zones of the
groundwater for different uses and the hydrogeochemical characteristiscs contorlling the groundwtaer in
the area.
